Money Answers for Employed Kids, Their Parents, the Self-Employed and Entrepreneurs
The Kids Roth IRA Handbook is to be used as a starting point for employed kids and parents. The focus is on the unmarried dependent child (with no dependents of their own) who has a yearly income that ranges from $1.00 to the amount of the single standard deduction allowed by the IRS for the current tax year. This book can also provide limited guidance for children with incomes outside of this range, introducing them to basic topics.
This handbook provides a solid foundation for a basic understanding of the many issues surrounding child employment, taxes, and Roth IRAs.

From the Author
Children constantly surprise us. In completing research for this book, I found reviews, written by kids about many types of investment books. They complained that the text was much too simple and the book was written for a beginner, someone who knew nothing about money.
This handbook covers some very basic ideas but quickly moves into complex issues surrounding Roth IRAs. We should not presume kids will not look at a tax publication, but instead be optimistic and provide kids with the opportunity and incentive to do so.
